Rochester's 175th Celebration at Rivers Run

In celebration of Rochester’s 175th anniversary, local learning and educational organizations have joined together to acknowledge the wonderful accomplishments of our community’s learning heritage. The 175th Celebration of Learning Through Inspiring Stories: Then and Now will take place from Sunday, May 3rd through Tuesday, May 5th, 2009 at the Riparian at Rivers Run. The Exhibit entitled Tell Us Your Story will include pictures and artifacts highlighting Rochester’s educational history.
In contrast to the rich stories displayed in the exhibit, presenters and speakers, teachers and students alike, will share initiatives and programs, performances and innovations highlighting the many creative educational and learning opportunities in our community.
Awards will be given to winners of an essay contest entitled The Person Who Most Influenced My Life.

AAA Senior Mobility Event at Rivers Run

RACPC Art Show
The Rochester Area Colored Pencil Club is holding an art show at Rivers Run on from April 5 to June 6th. The Rochester Area Colored Pencil Club (RACPC) is a club that is dedicated to " inform and educate ourselves and the community in order to promote, support and enjoy colored pencil art at all levels". Defensive Driving Classes Offered at Rivers Run
Rivers Run has partnered with AAA to offer a series of Defensive Driving Classes right on the Rivers Run campus! Defensive Driving Classes will be held on April 25th, May 23rd, June 27th, and July 25th. Also Defensive Driving for Mature Adults will be held on June 9th and 11th. RIT Innovation Festival
Rivers Run is a proud sponsor of RIT's innovation festival. The

Transportation - A van shuttle is available for appointments at competitive rates.
Take out Meals - Let us cook for you! You can order daily or weekly from our extensive menu. Click here to view Impressions Menu We can deliver daily to your door! Order by the day or the week.
Fitness Membership - Take advantage our our new fitness equipment in our Wellness Center by joining our Fitness Club Membership. For a monthly fee, you can have unlimited use of our treadmills, elliptical machines and recumbent bikes. We also have weight lifting as well and access to a personal trainer.
Salon: The Gallery Salon at Rivers Run arrives January 19 at Rivers Run! Treat yourself to a manicure, pedicure or treat yourself to a new hairstyle or color. More details to be available in the upcoming weeks.

Rivers Run Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On October 30, 2008 Rivers Run held their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the opening of the Riparian Senior Apartments. Present at the Ceremony were Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks, RIT Senior Vice President of Finance Jim Watters, County Clerk Cheryl DiNolfo, Henrietta Town Supervisor Michael Yudelson, and Living Communities President Pat Tobin.
Rivers Run Wins Community Excellence Award
On
May 6, 2008, Rivers Run received the Outstanding Facility Design
& Construction Award at the Henrietta Chamber of Commerce Twenty-Second
Annual Community Excellence Awards Celebration at the RIT Inn and
Conference Center.
The award was given to an individual or business
that enhanced the Henrietta Area by encouraging continued growth,
restoration and/or environmental stewardship. Awards were
given that evening in the categories of Distinguished Business Awards,
Educational Initiatives, and Community Enrichment.
